Lastly, this is my little napping spot upstairs outside my office. Used for inspirational purposes of course!

As you can tell, I am always drawn to color and anything I fall in love with, which tends to be alot of things.

So, I have my office upstairs. I also took over the 2-car garage, and now I am encroaching on the dining room. I really really want to make this my art space, but not sure how the rest of the family feels. Since it's the first thing you see when you walk into the house. But we NEVER eat there! And it has great light.

Did some sewing for my Lil' Bits pieces. The cats won't leave me alone, which is the only drawback to no doors here. I decided to keep costs down for Lil' Bits, I would only use what I have existing in my collections and canvases. I have so much stuff, I totally forget I have it! These little tops to cake picks are so cute, I decided to add them. 

I am just starting to fine tune this new series, and get my sewing skills back up to what they were in high school. Hopefully better. 

Happy 2011 everyone!

I had lost everything on my computer, all my client files, fine art, everything. Yes, I back up religiously. But I hadn't realized that I was backing up to a second partition, not a separate hard drive. And my other backup just had the bare bones stuff. Never again.

DriveCrash rocks! They recovered everything, and they did it quickly, efficiently and professionally. Lou and his colleagues know what they are doing. Thanks again.

And now my husband gets to put it all back together and, as usual, make things right so that I can keep doing my stuff. Love to him.

The only good thing about this besides a lesson learned is that I got to paint! And I will be painting again today, so updates to come soon.

I sold another painting! My friend, client, fellow cat lover and patron, Karen T will now make history as the second person the buy one of my paintings (Margot C being the first). Now I am getting new inspiration to paint again. You have probably noticed that I haven't done a darn thing all summer, except graphics work. 

Anyone else see anything they like or want commissioned, just let me know. I am also going to start putting some of my "collections", odds and sods, and other ephemera up for sale. Time to stop watching Hoarders on TV and lighten my load so to speak.

Cowboy kept himself busy while we were gone.

My inks arrived today! One of the big reasons I haven't painted (besides my work load) is my inks pretty much all ran out at the same time. And these suckers are expensive, but at least HP was having a rebate. I got excited when I got an email about the LA Center for Digital Art having an open call...can't wait to enter! My friend and fellow artist Mary M is going to also. Whoopee! I'll keep you posted on progress...
